Creating a better society through education, research and innovation

Founded in 1875, our institution's original purpose was to provide education for working class women at a time when society made that challenging. Society, and the institution, have evolved significantly but this original commitment to making education open to all still inspires us.

This commitment has made us a pioneer in championing inclusivity and diversity amongst our staff and students, enabling everyone to feel welcome with us which then allows them to thrive. We have a person-centred approach to learning which puts our students at the heart of everything we do, and a focus on making society better through education, research and innovation.

We offer a range of flexible master’s programmes, all of which are studied 100% online and part-time to fit around your work and family commitments.

Why study with QMU?

In seeking to fulfil our purpose of creating a better society, we are clear and realistic about our strengths, focused on strategic goals, persistent in pursuing opportunities and overcoming barriers, and guided by our values.

How it works

Our degrees are 100% online and asynchronous, allowing you to study whenever and wherever suits you. Course content can be accessed on a range of devices, and the flexible approach allows you to continue to work whilst fitting your studies around current commitments.

QMU currently offers a Master of Public Health (MPH), MSc Nursing, MSc Healthcare Management, MSc Global Health, MA Education, MA Educational Leadership, and an MA Special and Inclusive Education degree.

When you select your first module, you can choose to either pay for your whole degree in advance or to pay per module. You will need to pay fees before the payment deadline, and you can't access the learning materials until tuition fees are paid. Payment is made online using a debit or credit card.

All of our degrees have six start dates a year, so you're not tied to the traditional academic year and can begin your studies within weeks. The next start date for your chosen programme is on the course page.
