Tuition Fees
Our online degrees are affordable, and you can either pay for your full degree programme in advance or spread the cost by paying in instalments at the start of each module.
If you’re based in the UK, government postgraduate loans are available to cover either all or part of your tuition fees, depending on where you are located. Please seek advice from your loan provider for further details.
You may also be eligible for a 10% alumni discount if you are a QMU graduate.
Tuition fee payment is required before the registration deadline, and you can't access the course materials until fees are paid. Tuition fees are paid online using a debit or credit card.
Paying your fees
There are some important details on paying your fees to note related to students funded by:
- Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS)
Students receiving Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) funding need to pay for their first module upfront on the Student Dashboard. They can then register on all future modules without being asked for payment.
Important:
Part-time students will need to make two applications to SAAS via the SAAS Website: one at the start of their course and another at the start of their second year.
You must ensure you compare your full course cost with your loan amount as there may be a shortfall you will need to pay at the start of your course. In some cases, a refund may be due back to you after paying for your first module depending on the course cost.
- Student Finance (England, Wales and Northern Ireland)
You will have your loan paid directly to you if you are funded by Student Finance England or Wales, so should pay for each module individually via your online Student Dashboard.
If you are funded by Student Finance Northern Ireland, your tuition fee loan will be paid directly to QMU.
Important:
Please note there may be a shortfall you will need to pay at the start of course. Your full and per module fees can be found below.
- Employer, sponsor or other funding organisation
You, your employer or other funding organisation will need to pay for your first module by credit or debit card on your online Student Dashboard.
Your remaining fees must then be paid either in full or in no more than two separate payments. Paying via this method should be communicated to QMU’s OPS team (ops@qmu.ac.uk) at least 10 working days before the start of your second module.
All students with NHS sponsorship must provide a Purchase Order, emailed to ops@qmu.ac.uk, at least 10 working days before the start of the second module.
